Anyone had any luck with "auto paint safe" glue or gel for the splitters? There are a lot of products out there that claim they are safe to use on auto paint...buuuuuuut, I take that with a grain of salt. My splitters are not bolted on, just the adhesive that they came with who knows back when? 3M I heard makes a good product. I tried the clear double sided tape but it was a PIA and was not strong enough to old the ends down. I only need it for the front portion where the splitters get real thin and over time the glue/adhesive that came with them starts to fade. I recently pulled one of them back further than I would have liked to taking off my car cover off. The cover caught the tip of the splitter and pulled it back a bit, the other side only needs an inch or so of adhesive.

I realize some day I may take the splitters off, but I can handle using some sort of solvent to remove the glue/adhesive and buff it out but obviously don't want the glue to set so hard it will pull the paint up in the process or make it really difficult to buff out/remove.
