Automatic trans shifters swap?

Good morning to all-
Mines a '74 automatic trans. (5sp swap well down the road)
I have the typical 'T handle' shift lever.
I'm seeing more and more interior coupe pics that have the shift lever with a 'knob' on the business end, looks similar to a manual trans shifter....
Is this a simple swap? What parts and work are required to change my T-handle to the knob shifter in my coupe? Sources and cost of the parts required? Anybody have that swap available to sell?

I used a cutoff wheel and cut it off and placed a knob on it knowing I was doing a 5spd change over at some point.Hope you are collecting the parts to do that someday because you will not believe how much fun these cars are with a clutch!

I believe that you can "unscrew" the t, but its separation point is half way down the shaft and there is a locking/positioning mechanism in there. I think the older knob types don't lock so you may have to do some work. if you take the shift surround off (small part of the console) you can remove the shifter and have at it.
