Hi,
I need to replace the big, shiny (chromed?) covering plate that goes on the b-pillar (for lack of better wording) and stretches all the way from the window glass down to the sill. You are looking at part nr. 10 on the attached image.
It's a very hard to find part in used and good condition, but W&N seem to offer it new. It's very expensive though.
Now for the fun of it I looked up the same part on the 2000 CS and who'd have thought - W&N offer it for way less than the one that goes on the 3.0.
Other than the difference in number of holes for the striker (4 on the 3.0 vs. 3 on the 2000) they look identical.
Does anyone here know whether they could be used on the 3.0 by just drilling an additional hole?
That would save almost $200 in parts cost!
