Bakelite plastic spark plug connectors?

My 3.0 has electronic ignition and the spark plug wires and connectors are rubber instead of the correct plastic ones...is there any reason I shouldn't use the original correct wires and connectors, I bought a NOS set on EBAY and want to change them out, thanks!

OEM is the only way to go in my opinion.

Shouldn't be a problem. I even use the original connectors at the standard distributor cap on a Motronic engine, although I haven't used the bakelite spark plug connectors with Motronic. I don't see why it wouldn't work though....

Thanks, hooked up BERU eom set up works fine, looks so much better than the modern crap
