I'm generally there every year, but usually early in the week when most of the cars
are still there. Not much BMW stuff usually, but its a great people-watching event,
which you do not EVEN get a sense for from the incessant speed coverage on cable.

If you go early in the week (like day 1 or 2), the massive tents out back are full of cars,
the atmosphere is that of a HUGE body shop (a LOT of freshly-painted cars out there)

Have fun!

I am going because I "have" to. Taking my Batmobile to Russo & Steele. Going over the block between 8:35 and 8:55 Saturday night. R&S is right next to BJ, so same circus...different tent! Where is everyone staying? Still deciding if I want to hang out until Saturday or leave Wednesday and fly back Saturday morning! Is there anything to do for the entire week? Seems like 2 days would be plenty, but I have never been, so ?

Hey Ron, what is the estimate? What is that stuff about the last 25 bats being reserved for people. I havent heard that before.

Among the 25 cars in the VIN range 2275515-2275539,
... 4 were sold new in Sweden,
... at least 2 in the UK,
... and at least 1 or 2 in France.

This seems to contradict the "reserved for BMW dignitaries,..." theory.

However...
It is possible that all of the 25 cars in the range 2275515-2275539 were sold much later than the other 2275 VINs, and that they were sold in parallel with the 4355s.

I know the dates of delivery/registration of 4 cars in the 515-539 range and all of them are after Aug 1974.

Has anyone more information ?
What was the date of delivery of 2275525 ?
