For those who want a BMW battery for appearance I found one at the dealer that fits perfectly. Part number 61-21-2-353-804, list $208, for some reason it isn't showing up in RealOEM though. Black top, white sides, 61 Ah, these are no longer made by Exide which were all white.

I know, you don't have to spend that much money, you can find an Interstate for less but it just looks right. Here it is sitting in the 2800 which uses the same battery.

Red top

I like the Optima and the way the red top matches Verona.

Like I said before, red the color of desire, black the color of despair... Les Miserables.

The Bosch battery is all black and looks good in my coupe.

Don't have the number right here but if interested I will go get it.

I am partial to White BMW batteries. Don't own one though. It's all about the logo.

Has anyone used the fcpeuro guys for parts, I never heard of them?

Thanks,

I did buy a few items for the E24 mechanical restoration. Prices were good, follow up for status and changes was not that easy. I think it was hard to get a human on a phone line. In spite of inventing the internet I am quite fond of the POTS (Plain Old Telephone System).

Battery Porn

I've used FCP a lot and for me they have only a few competitors... eeuroparts and autohausaz.

Y'all on the Big Rock may have other views. What bugs me most is that the all advertise free shipping for orders over $xxx, but in the fine print, none of them offer this service to Hawaii. Chickens.
