The salt is heavy on Ohio roads to end the year, so the car is in the garage until spring. The Christmas lighting on the house combined with an Instagram vignette was perfect.

Stunning photo. Here in the land of the Quakers, they came to PA to do good and did very well, some of us drive all winter. We wait for rain, now quite common due to climate change, to wash the roads clear, wait a bit longer for them to dry, and we drive!!! Never put a car away for the winter, will not deprive myself of what makes me happy.

I’m an hour south of the snow belt in NE Ohio. We haven’t had much snow the last few years, but this month and last we’ve had several episodes of mild snow and freezing rain. I think in order to use all the back stock of salt, they went crazy and dropped it all. We’ve had some decent rains but there’s still clouds of pulverized salt in the air driving down the road.

Well PENDOT did the same thing Friday night. An inch at best with a bit of freezing ice. The roads Saturday morning were snow white. I was out around 5 PM Friday, raining, and there was a salt truck spraying away on a wet road. And oh, let us not forget the overtime.
