I have just purchased a very nice 1972 Bavaria and luck would have it the top plastic piece of the driver's arm rest broke yesterday. If anyone can supply such in the color shown in attached photo please send me a PM.

Should you have more than one and or all of the others for such in this color I'd be interested in purchasing all.

Thanks.........

I bought a new pair four years ago from "Isettas R Us". I think someone here on e9coupe.com pointed out that they had them. The cost at that time was $25 apiece. See: http://www.isettasrus.com/

Looking at the "Isettas R Us" website today, I don't see a reference to e3/e9 handle top plastic, but it's probably worth calling or emailing to ask if they still carry them. In 2009 they were selling them through ebay.

It isn't worth buying used parts - after 40 years the plastic now has the consistency of glass.

Purchased

about two years ago, a blue, from classicbmw parts, in the links section. Worth a try.

Jay, Thanks for the info. I've sent a query off to them...

BMWClassicparts is Ben Miller, buy at your own risk unless his business practices have changed. In fact, only buy if you go there in person but expect to pay large for a possibly damaged part.

give Werner a call at Isettasrus ... he's a really good guy. he might have a blue one ... might not. i know he had a lot of tan ones.

They show as available from BMW in black. So worse case scenario find some SEM vinyl paint that matches it closely...

Good to know!

I had a bad experience with that seller in Germany, "klein-teile-heinz". Communication was inconsistent at best, implausible excuses being made for not shipping, all the while the items I paid for continued to be advertised by him. This went on for over a month until I filed a claim with Paypal and they refunded my money.

Mine was exactly the opposite. While there wasn't much communication going on (no need for it) he shipped the parts right away and at a good price too. He kept advertising them on Ebay Germany though which leads me to think that he must have the same parts multiple times?
I had them shipped to an address in Germany though.

+1
never had a problem with this seller sending few things to me here in Oz.

that's Werner. (isettasrus) the location is woodstock, ga.
buy with confidence from him.

Interesting.. I'd sent a query to him with no reply so far but these show up on e-bay. I'll purchase them if for nothing else a back up set. Now to match to the correct color???

I sent him two eBay messages about the parts in an effort to get a picture. He responded after about 6 days and uploaded a picture.

you have to understand, his primary business is restoring isettas. he has a restoration backlog of over a year. he gets these parts from germany in order to buy the parts for the isetta.

the color is pretty close to the ones in my car, slightly lighter.
