BBS Style 5 Query

All those wheels, with the possible exception of the RC060, are H*LL to clean when they get brake dust on them. Stock coupe wheels are no picnic either.

I had something like those on my '87 735i (E32). They were filthy when I got the car and only a little cleaner when the hulk was finally towed away. Never again.

The spokes are pretty well spaced on all of these. I haven’t found them particularly difficult to clean. These are large two piece wheels not the small 15’s with tiny mesh.

Not mine btw...

Thanks Vince, yes, it seems et26 is the ideal offset ...what do you think would be implications for et19?...

Sorry, I don't know about the et19s. It's such a tight fit with those big nines in the back, a couple of mms in the wrong direction could mean a no go.

Plus, most of these cars aren't daily drivers. I just wipe the lips down when I detail the car. The last time I touched the faces was for the CCA concours in Monterey last year, they just don't get that dirty.

Thanks again Vince, I guess I will just stick with the RC090's all round.

"Bleeding wheel" type cleaner + soft brush & it doesn't matter if the wheel have spokes or it flat - clean even years of not cleaned brake pads dust in very tight corners.
It is pretty safe for wheels (no aggressive substances), use it for my daily car wheels (polished aluminium) for about 3 years now.
