naaah, just a lucky guess ... it only got there because the winner put in a bid to be sure that he won. when i wrote the post i wasn't sure it would even get to 125k.

The 1600GT always reminds me of the ASA 1000 GT. I guess those styling cues were in the water. I'd take the BMW for the power and ease of maintenance.

Learned about a number of cars from this thread. Some of the BaT commenters have strong Glas/BMW feelings. I was going to suggest it’s just a rounded off 2D Dasher to watch them explode (which isn’t my belief), but better judgment prevailed.
