Beautiful complete original tool box on BaT

Downside to the new ones is the rubber insert is drilled too deep for the fuses, they sink too low.
Perhaps you can push small cylindrical plugs into the too-deep fuse holes - made of some foam, rubber, or even wood dowels.?. Or even squirt a drop or two of silicone or some other semi-hardening glue into the holes to shallow them up.?. Just thinking out loud.

i will take the approach of putting some small pieces of tubing into the holes for the fuses

I'm thinking a bb would do it

Here I thought the E9 tool kit was spendy. Not sure if any of you are following, but there is a MB 300SL Gullwing tool kit that just sold on BaT for $20,500!!! I don't think it was as complete or in as good of shape as this one. Wowsers!

I need to see that!

There was a 3200CS empty toolbox on CL for a few hundred about a year ago. I didn’t buy it but kind of wish that I did. :(

I find it interesting that the listing noted that this tool kit is offered with a "bill of sale". What else would be the mechanism? It wouldn't have a title like a car, right? I know it is just semantics, but I find it odd (says the guy who can't afford the $20k tool kit). ;)
