In my quest for suitable 'emegrency' repair/restoration/replacement items I am offering this alternative to the 'T' bolt nut/washer we have all come to love or hate.

While wandering the endless aisles of local hardware stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Orchard Supply etc.) ( I do that quite often...) I came across these. They worked for me. (If this has been discussed before? Oh well .... eh....move on)

These are called "Bonded Sealing Washers" They consist of a a metal cap bonded to a rubber washer. @ 13mm in diameter. They fit perfectly over the circular holes in the body.
You must also purchase the M4 metric nuts separately.

They will not work on the front and rear corners as those holes are oblong and use a larger
rubber washer.

I saved as many of the OEM washers and nuts as I could when removing my belt trim but alas, as hard as we try we end up breaking off most of them. I salvaged the useable old ones and used them in the corners and the 'inaccessable' places and used the alternative ones where they were easily reached..

This may not sit well with the purists out there, but when you are on a budget, you try to save where you can. I was able to do @ 20 of these for about $8.00 Just trying to help! See pic.
