Anyone know of certain brand(s) of brake pads to fit on stock coupe to minimize brake dust?

Brake Pads

It really depends on what you're using these for. A good all around street pad is PBR aka Repco I've used this brand for many years, they offer metallic or organic. The Metallic pads take a moment to warm up and I think are a little harder on the rotors but are a good pad. The Deluxe series are organic material but do a good job, that's what I'm using. Both pads are quiet with minimal dust plus they're reasonably priced.

Just occasional, stop and go driving use. What about the so-called "low dust" ceramic pads I see on eBay?

Don't know if they make them for E9 fitment, but I like Akebonos a lot. Very well behaved, no fade, and no dust.

Akebono

Don't know if they make them for E9 fitment, but I like Akebonos a lot. Very well behaved, no fade, and no dust.

I use to sell Akebono products, they are without a doubt some of the best available. They offer a street performance pad but none for e9's...what a shame.

What is the part number for the Axxis/BPR deluxe pads?
Also where can I order these online?

Thanks,
David

I have just fitted ebc yellowstuff pads and they seem excellent with a reasonably low dust level (after the initial bed in period that is)

I’m more interested in pads that pull the car down hard, without locking up the wheels….. I figure 30 or 40 feet shorter stopping distance might be the difference between a collision :( & not . My racer friend William M Wonder got me started on carbon pads so I’ve been using the Porterfield carbon Kevlar street pads, not too dusty but expensive. ~ John Buchtenkirch
