IDK if that purchase from Maui leaves me with the only running CS in Hawaii, or not.... I haven't seen another CS here in years. Only know of a 2000CS, semi-parked, nearby.
However just got back from a visit to my daughters, one in San Diego, and the wife insisted we visit La Jolla Independent BMW (Carl Nelson's shop). It was a little more dusty and disorganized than I expected, but made her day when I took her picture in the ACTUAL cabrio used in the Katy Perry video.
Then there's the Z1... and for me the star of the show was the so-nice CSL.
A huge thanks to the shop manager (?) whose name we didn't get, for allowing a couple of hicks to cruise the place without adult supervision. Sorry we couldn't stay for Carl's return and a brew, we had a schedule with daughter and son-in-law, etc. I had only met Carl once at Oktoberfest 1995 (1985?) in Breckenridge. In addition to missing the Monterey Historics during BMW's anniversary a few (six?) years ago, and all the other events that went with it, I'm a might poor vacation planner. But I live in Hawaii so I'll have to live with that somehow.
