Yah, if I had that engine in my coupe I would be looking for every possible reason NOT too finish. Can you say expensive radar.
Just kidding Alan, good find, I can use that plug in the blind plug on my e30 door panel.

This brings back memories of trying to find these plugs during my restoration. I am curious, which holes are you referring to? Also is this parts page out of a 2002 parts book?

Thanks for the info.

I think I have some used one in the parts I picked up recently from Maxfish. Are you still looking for these?

Sure am. Name your price, I'd love to have them. It should cut the exhaust smell in the trunk some. You can tell an enthusiast at a show banquet by the exhaust smell in the clothes!

Please post a photo when you're done filling all the holes underside the hood with some kind of plugs.
Can't wait to see the result :)

Cheers!

Remember at the 2015 Vintage when I was envious of the toy e9 you were loading in your trunk...

Just kidding. I need to sort through some of Max's stuff; will get back to you.

So let's talk about plugs. I am not familiar with any oval plugs that go in the floor pan. There is a plastic oval cap that snaps in to the floor pan giving you access to inspect the rail.

In this picture there there are 2 plugs and a plastic cap. The top (oval) plug is for where the front brake lines exit the fender and go to the strut housing. The second plug is the common body plug that are found in the floor pans, trunk floors and spare tire well. These are the same plugs that go on the firewall for the the hood latch adjustment. These are round. The third is a clear plastic cap that goes on the doors.

This next picture is of the floor pan plugs/caps.

So I'm not aware of any other rubber plugs other than what is in the pictures.

Mike, if those white door plugs are extra, I'd love to have 2 please. If so, let me know how much to include postage to Germany. That would be cool thanks. Keshav
