I am selling a bunch of my two-liter coupe parts. I have a lot of NOS parts, but for sale now is a driver’s side door that is used, but very restorable. The former owner did some DIY efforts, but overall this door is a good part. Part Number 41 51 5 742 010.
The former owner had a Sahara 2000 CS as an everyday driver. He bought a number of used and (now) NOS parts for his driver. Eventually, he became concerned about safety issues with driving these old cars on California freeways. I bought all the parts he had collected to keep his coupe going to eternity! This is a good, restorable part. The outer skin shows some minor rust in one place, but not through-and-through cancer rust. There is a bent spot on the lower leading edge of the door. Looking closely along the outer surface of the door, I can see some compression dents, but nothing that would indicate a major incident. The edges of the door where metal is thin shows rather minor rust tatter in a few places, consistent with age and essentially no primer protection from the Karmann factory.The former owner tried to touch up some exterior surfaces with BMW brand Sahara spray paint! (Included).
We are installing a solar system at our home, as we pay the highest electricity rates of anyone in the USA. I would like to sell this part, and a whole bunch of other parts, to e9 Forum folks.
