If im right there are two versions, as you mention that you have a 74 model you may perhaps need one or the other.
The difference is in the underlying metal. US coupes got some extra metal reinforcements. One of them is a brace running from the wheel arch to the rear, connecting to the floor. This brace is under the plastic cover that you are searching for. Hence the shape difference.

I have a set of the floppy vinyl ones BMW sold a few years ago for sale
US 74 panels are different. They cover the steel reinforcement “shark fin” added to the well.
It seems Erik has mentioned about it.
Does anyone have a picture to learn something new.
