One person's trash.......

I have to get me one of those Petri watches - have to. I will learn the magician's skill of surreptitiously removing watches from a wrist in case I meet Steve one day as I think that's the only way I'll get one.

I don't care if that is an extra small, I'd wear that jacket!
Funnily enough it’s a medium, but I must admit that it’s a little snug. Next size up would be perfect for me (I’m 5’10”), but of course these jackets are not easy to find! Not too sure of it’s history, but I believe it dates from the late 70s.

Glasurit folder with BMW paint samples from 1958 to 1978
Hi Lorenzo, I’ve commented on another thread where you shared this reference book, but is it possible that you have the information for 012 Sierrabiege in this book? I need the exact paint formula for my E3 3.0Si restoration so I just wondered if you could share it? Sierrabiege was introduced in September 1976. Thanks!

Great that this topic was put up on the list. Thank. It was so refreshing people in 60's, 70's and 80's were collecting such an interesting things!

What a collection! Priceless!

I'll bet, BMW might be envy of some of these from Dear Collectors from France and Intaly!

Just speechless!

It would not be be not having sick associations:

When France was beaten by Germany in 1940, BMW took control of Gnome et Rhône motor works that equipped French Hanriot Potez or Breguet planes.
BMW edited this part catalog of this very French motor, that later equipped Henschel or Focke Wulf .1941

Very rare "farb und austattungmuster book" of 1965 concerning 1500-1800-2000 . Works on the same principle of the blue ones.
Moreover, you have the material for the inside roof lining :

I hope you like white .

The theory has been bounced around on FAQ that BMW likely painted a number of cars the same color during one shift to keep from having to repeatedly clear the paint guns and such.

I think the lead car in the second photo is for Italian export. It has the clear signal lens and the odd side marker light on the front fender. The cars behind it do not have those features.

I really like these old pictures from 2000c and E9 manufacturing plant.

It would be great to gather them from different threads into some kind of gallery.

Maybe even consider to design calendar for 2023 (A3 or even bigger) with these?
