BMW Classic CCA

It has been dawning on me slowly, my top speed these days, that I was not the only one to leave the CCA financially and spiritually for all the same reasons as so many others.

Minivansomeren, I am frozen in the late 60's mid 70's enthralled by our lovely 2002s, Bavarias and Coupes. I understand from a friend who had planned to move to Phoenix that there is an active classic car scene that includes our cars and at least one expert mechanic, I can't remember his name, who helped the buyer of my 1976 2002, Lilli, sort the car for resale when her new owner had health issues and had to sell. You may have seen my BaT auction and, sadly my buyer's subsequent auction.

I am still a CCA member, but don't know for how much longer (I have a low 5 digit membership number that does 'sometimes' get me noticed).
I have alse been in the Mercedes and Mustang clubs, but have let those lapse. I am currently also in the PCA, but likewise I am unsure for how much longer.....

I think the more local activities the E3/E9/2002 crowd puts together is just fine for me.
I am also pulled into the Museum of Flight and Seattly Symphony to round out my $$ and activities schedule. Lol

i have a 25xxx CCA number, but it just didn't do anything for me and the Roundel just wasn't as interesting to me anymore. i was a PCA member but gave that up - gorgeous magazine. CCCA is all about all of the true BMW classics and a bunch of really good people

I joined BMWCCA in 1972 when I bought my 2002-- member#1315. My only problem was not getting the lifetime membership about 30 years ago......The CCA-sponsored trip to Germany , Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein to visit the BMW factories and tuners like Alpina and Schnitzer in 1983 was very enjoyable.
When I bought the Coupe in 2018, Dirk told me about CCCA. We did a cover story about the car over a year ago. Jon Van Woerden is the official photographer for CCA and he did the photoshoot of my car in Miami. We belong to the Everglades Chapter of CCA and have a C&C and social dinner meet every month..
Now we have the 20th CCCA anniversary tour in South Carolina,& North Carolina in October, and then Hilton Head in November. Lots of stories and pics to follow!!

Dirk has stickers as well.

Friendly Hello Everyone…and of course Dirk.. @Dirk ….Truly Great Minds think alike OR truly passionate vintage bmw Minds think alike….ok trying to be succinct, i VERY unexpectedly won my very first BaT auction last year (1973 2002 baur, polaris silver, needing good amount of Resto work BUT will be done until its concours-caliber by legendary Mario of NH) and Dirk was one of first to congratulate me and to also ask me if I had heard of bmwccca. I had NOT. But i did join a short time thereafter my Win. I still do continue with bmwcca (NY, CT, Boston, 2002, and e30 chapters) mainly because i have a vintage bmw mental health issue (wink & smile) even though i clearly/fully understand several of you on this Site have not renewed cca membership. I currently have 9 different and very unique vintage bmws (69e3-2800, 73-02-Baur, 74e3bavaria, 75e3-3.0si my inka profile pic, 76e3-3.0si fjord, 76-2002 in Taiga, e21-320i , 82e23-745i turbo, 89e30 Touring BUT with awesome e46m3 Eng / 6sp Trans) although one is for Sale currently. So of course i just had to join Dirk’s group ccca. I did NOT know of the back story of ccca that Dirk shared earlier in this Topic chain and THANKFULLY dirk came to the rescue to both keep/save & grow the Group…yes, Truly passionate vintage bmw Minds think alike….sincere best wishes to everyone ! Thomas of westchester county NY
