Andreas Harz is the one to ask. I always write to him directly, andreas.harz@... Got it more or less by accident. Probably not a privilege, if he does not have time, I wait like everybody else. Ingrid Mühlbauer knows a lot and is very helpful, too. Some people from other Classic & Type Clubs write to Julia Oberndörfer, guess I've last read her name about three years ago. I've never heard of different addresses for different continents. What for, anyway?
HDZ stands for "Historisches Dokumentationszentrum", historical documentation centre, a short-lived name. They renamed the BMW Archiv a few years ago but no one really liked the name so they changed it back to BMW Archiv. Or better, to BMW Group Archiv because they deal with the BMW brand as well as the MINI brand. The MINI brand consists of the parts MINI (BMW) and Mini (1959-2000). Third part of BMW Group is Rolls-Royce but who is responsible for them I really don't know. Should have asked. Nice twist, though, you can still use the hdz address.
@autokunst : At the Techno-Classica in Essen Ingrid Mühlbauer and [shame, but his name is gone] were there. In Stuttgart at the Retro Classics Fred Jakobs and Andreas Harz showed up. I spoke to all four. On both occasions, nearby at the same desks were several people from BMW Classic Parts and the BMW Club & Community Management. I must have talked to nearly everyone there. You always need to talk about things and I hardly ever get to Munich.
