Who came up with the idea of putting this rim on a car like this?
They went too far in the other direction, considering that this is supposedly the last CSL release according to their description

I'not modifying my car to look like this-each to his own taste, but i do admire the effort and result: There's quite some engineering going on here: they make mention of installing a Z4 front axle, and locating it 110 MM further forward. Under the hood the new strut towers and M335 engine are obvious, but location isn't that (much) different to my eye. I do see that the fender next to the A-pillar is wider (longer front to back) then normal. in OEM Spec, there is just ~8 cm between the front tips of the side grille and the wheel arch. Even with these arches enlarged, the space there has grown to something like 15 cm (7 inch). So that's where they moded it significantly.

Talking about the engine bay: the firewall partition has been removed (with the VIN....) in order to get better engine fitment - doesn't that affect the cabin air intake? you're now sucking in engine compartment air instead of fresh air. I guess common in (semi) race cars?

the squeeky noises at 14:50 would drive me crazy though....

Not my taste but some cool features, I suppose. The widebody modification was not executed very well, which is the whole focal point of the exterior. Quite a whimsical sacrifice of a CSL.
