Hello guys, I have a pair of BMW e9 taillights that I ended up not using for my project, and I’m looking to sell them. They need a good cleaning but they don’t have any kind of damage. I also have an extra pair of taillights bulb housings in working condition if someone is interested in that. I can ship worldwide. Looking to get $800. Thanks.

since this is your first post on e9 coupe.com ... i'm going to caution you that you should clean / polish things up before you try to sell items. these lights look a little dirty / crusty and there are remanufactured lights for sale by members for 1100 bucks +/- that are perfect. one can also buy new 'repop' lights / lenses for 361 euro per side with brand new everything.

They don’t need a good cleaning, they need to be chrome plated and lenses replaced.

Chris, while i agree with you - i was trying to be polite ... but the effect is the same ... they ain't worth 800 bucks, not even on ebay
While this is a must read, excellent tutorial for anyone thinking of selling parts on this site, I do feel you guys were a bit hard on Mark. As a first time seller and a new comer, I assume, to selling parts, he had no idea how to approach this and clearly, how to price his taillights.

perhaps, but it is accurate and if he wants / needs to sell them he needs to have a good understanding of reality. i would rather know everything earlier rather than later
I agree with Scott here. The seller is likely not going to earn one dollar/euro with this pricing, and the parts won't move location al all.
