It's finally available!! We’ve resurrected the marvelous BMW Engine Turning Tool #7008-1. We used 4140 steel and had it hardened to RC 48/52 tool grade steel. We then had it black oxide treated to produce a long lasting, corrosion-resistant finish. This is one of those tools that will be passed down for generations.

You could use the old methods of turning the engine:
- Put the car in fourth and push it (unless it’s on a slope)
- Bump the motor with the starter (never stops where you want it to!)
- Push on the fan blade (bad for the fan and your knuckles!)
- Try to get a socket on the crankshaft nut (requires two people)
