BMW Parts

Did you try to order your parts from Maximillian (www.bimmer.com) ?

Recently I ordered a decal (decal as in sticker) for a model that was never officially imported in the US. The order got kicked back. Placed the order with Max and I received the decal a few weeks later.

Thanks for the post Dirk.
I think most of us know about Maximillian but I think you would find that most feel their prices are too high, bordering on list prices.

I think there is a issue with some dealers and how they are set up to order parts. I never have problems with them saying I can't order a part it just that the part may be shown as available and you order only to find there is no stock, anywhere. US or Europe.
Most of the coupe parts I do order come from Germany and take about 10 days to get here. Very few parts are in the US.
Other issues are parts that don't fit. Moldings come to mind.

This is something I wish would be explained to us.
We have also had 2 dealers drop off the web since summer.
One most recently was Penske and the other was a dealer that advertised in the Roundel with good prices and many people ordered from them. ( Name is escaping me) Carlson or something like that?

So yes Maximillian has been around a long time and maybe that accounts for something when they order parts from BMW. I don't know?
