BMW Patents Unusual Screw. Could Make Repairs Difficult...

I have two "L" pieces of rebar ready to weld together, then at the end, weld one of the alleged larger screws then double nutted.

Perhaps every other company will follow. Ferrari may be the best looking.

I remember when I wanted to clean the MAF sensor on my 1992 Ford Explorer. It was held in by two 'tamper proof' screws.
One trip down to Radio Shack (remember them? LOL) later and I had a bit set for all sorts of different tamper proof screws then available.
Every couple of years I run across a need to use one of them. That set has come in real handy.

This is the current version of what I bought back then. Even has the same red silicone holder....
FYI - the bit type I had to use is the torx with a post in the middle....

Where there's a will, there's a way...

When I read the title to this thread, I assumed that it was some sort of joke. Kind of like a metric adjustable wrench.

Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction! Or in this case, truth is funnier than humor.
