Wish we could of attended, but we are getting ready for our Texas BMW 2002 02berFest event next weekend in Kerrville, Texas…

I am one of the hundreds who wishes he could be there. Tragic.

What a coincidence: Two Chaminoix coupes driven by two guys with the unusual first name of Lance. It couldn't get any better.

Great shots, Lance. If anyone is wondering, the amazing collection inside the warehouse is part of the Scott and Fran Hughes Motorsports Collection.

We encountered the camouflaged BMW factory SUV's at a lunch stop at Tail of the Dragon. They were as surprised to see us as we were them.

The Scott and Fran Hughes collection was great, and they were very kind to host all of us at their collection and welcomed us to get up close with all the cars. Many were able to sit in the CSL race car shown in the pictures.

As Don mentions when we pulled in for lunch at the Historic Tapoco Lodge there were three full size SUV's under car covers. As we were having lunch the drivers for those SUV's went out and took the covers off and it was clear that these were brand new BMW pre-production models that were being driven for testing. All were wrapped in a camouflage design that prevented clear views of the body lines and shapes.

We were joking about how the BMW employees likely thought that they were going to have a quiet day as it was raining and wet and no one would be out in the area around the tail of the dragon.

By the way, the wet conditions were fine, less traffic on the tail of the dragon meant no slow-downs and there were several club members that drove it twice.

Not in my pictures are @dbower fancy sealing of his window cavities. I now have a roll of masking tape in my supplies bag!
