Bosch D Jet part numbers

I hadn't been keeping up with this. The coughing and studdering afflicted my car too. Exactly as you describe. It was the throttle position sensor. Got a "newer" one (not on a car, it had been sitting in the guys stash for a while) and cleaned it up. Problem all but went away. Only happens once in a great long time now. There are folks that rebuild them for about $600 around. I don't know the names but somebody else may know.

Okay... Darned throttle position sensor has come up so many times in threads - I will look into having mine rebuilt.
Thanks Chris and Bwana.
It's actually fun stuff. A little frustrating at times, but fun hobby. The starter access / swap though, those frustrations can just steal all confidence sometimes.

Take your time, rebuild stuff and replace all old rubber gaskets, hoses, wires, etc. while enjoying the process along the way. There will always be some fun waiting for you!

Got it from fcpeuro. Thank you Don.
I have to learn how to search, because I still can't find it if I search fcpeuro by my car year etc. Had to google the part number you gave me, twistinglane, and add fcp to get it to pop up...
Thank you for your help! I am very relieved to have found this. Almost ordered two

Darn...

Bill,

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately pn 13631358436 is no longer available. I have checked to see if it was on order and they do not have an ETA on either. I will cancel the order for you and you should see a credit shortly, Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best,

So now to try twistinglane's suggestion... "Europe"...

Throttle sensor in Mercedes

I found cross references for Mercedes parts numbers.
The reference is for a 250CE - motor M114.980 Throttle switch
This model uses these Bosch numbers:
0 280 120 004
0 280 120 014 (Bosch number in old docs for BMW 3.0CSI)
0 280 120 035 (Bosch number in current docs for BMW 3.0CSI)
Mercedes numbers
A 002 545 80 24
A 003 545 49 24
(Don't know why only 2 Merc numbers)
This is a 4 connector throttle switch.
Perhaps someone signed up for Mercedes on line parts catalogs can double check the Merc info.

Those injectors are appropriate. If new from Bosch that is a lower price than I've seen. If rebuilt there may be questions others will know to ask.

There is an air filter of sorts that is inside the aux. air valve. Mine is shot and crubles. Any idea what the P/N is? I didn't see it in this thread

Please do post Bwana - and whatever you learn about what Fuel Injection fixed. I have a couple of the air slide valves I've been meaning to rehab...

Came across another BMW anomaly. The guy that has figured out how to tune my D-Jet recommended that I replace the two temperature probes in the cooling water circuit. P/N 13621353329 for the water temperature probe (#4) and P/N 13621355006 for the temperature-time (#1) probe.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=3442-EUR-02-1972-E9-BMW-30CSi&diagId=11_2456

I was able to buy the temperature-time switch from BMW but the parts guys said he couldn't get the temperature probe because "the car was sold overseas". Well, duh! CSi's were never sold here. And I've bought a boatload of other OEM parts for this car from the same dealer with no problem whatsoever. And there are 4 in stock some place in Tennessee but they can't be sold.

Has anybody ever heard of this?
