It seems the Bosch red coil aka part number 0221119030 is not widely available these days. So if you're looking for one I've searched for cross references and have found these:

Beru ZS109, ZS565
NGK 48236
Bremi 11802

I love NGK plugs so hopefully their coils are as good, I believe Beru and Bremi are still made in Germany but always good to verify on any of these as to country of origin. The Bosch red ones are now usually made in Brasil.

Do you know if they can be used together with 123 Ignition as for Bosch Red Coil (if I understand it correctly)?

Splendid!
123 Ignition seems to calculate as much profit on shipping as on their red coil so they are on my boycott list.

AI Overview - This information has not been independently verified.
My recently purchased Beru ZS172 does say Made in Germany though it was in a new Mexican box.

The Beru ZS109, ZS565, and ZS172 are all 12-volt canister-type ignition coils, but they are designed for different electrical parameters, vehicle applications, and internal filling methods (such as classic points versus electronic or high-RPM ignitions). [1, 2, 3]

Beru ZS109 (The "Red" High-RPM Coil)

“prim 1,5 Ω” -- [Roland Merz Katalog].
Primary resistance is approximately 1.5 Ohms.
    • Application: Famously used as an equivalent/alternative to the Bosch "Red" high-performance coil on classic high-RPM engines (such as older Porsche 911 models with inductive/points-style ignition setups).
    • Design/Notes: Often noted in vintage car communities as having been traditionally epoxy/tarmac-filled (older versions) allowing reliable mounting positions (including sideways or inverted), though it is meant to run with specific primary resistance or ballast requirements depending on the exact distributor setup.

Beru ZS565 (The Official Successor)
    • Primary resistance and performance specs align closely with traditional inductive setups requiring a series external resistor (often operated with a ~1.8 Ohm pre-resistor on specific inductive discharge systems).
    • Application: Direct manufacturer-designated successor/replacement to the ZS109. It fits classic Porsche 911 (2.2L through 3.0L/Turbo) and 914/6 applications.
    • Design/Notes: While physically interchangeable in standard brackets, modern iterations are oil-filled canister designs meant to update or replace aging legacy coils.

Beru ZS172 (The "Blue" Standard/Street Coil)

“Primary resistance 3.3 Ohms” -- [Hot-Spark].
Secondary resistance is ~7.25k Ohms.
    • Application: Widely known as the Beru equivalent to the classic Bosch "Blue Coil". Ideal for standard 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder street engines running standard points or electronic ignitions (like a 123Ignition or Pertronix) that require a higher primary resistance (~ 3.0 to 3.3 Ohms) to prevent overheating the ignition module.
    • Design/Notes: Standard 56mm x 112mm canister dimensions, oil-filled design, featuring standard post/screw terminals designed for general vintage 12V applications (VW Beetle, classic Porsche, Volvo, BMW).
