Rock Auto lists a remanufactured 2002 tii brake booster. Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it the smaller unit used for swaps? The price is $160, which seems pretty reasonable considering the price for used ones now.

These are typically used for triple weber conversions so the air cleaners clear the booster. Some modification to the pedal rod length is required.

Bought a reconditioned one through the forum for $160 + shipping 6 years ago. You will need to modify the pedal rod as steve suggests. I also had to create a link section of sorts to fit between the booster stem and pedal rod as the ends didn't mate up (ie both forked ends). Ended up fabing it out of a couple of sections of aluminum turnbuckle, some washers and a 3/8" bolt that i picked up from home depot.

Sound almost to good to be true.

The Tii booster also moves the master about 1/2" to 3/4" closer to the firewall, necessitating bending the five brake lines a bit.

there is a $25 core charge in the rockauto number ... so either 135 if you have one ... or 160 if you don't. that's the way i read it. either way that's a smoking good deal if you need one.

i looked for a 2800cs booster ... none available
