I would have a hard time believing that these are brand new, probably rebuilt units Don't see ATE making a bunch of new calipers just for the E9's

These aren't ATE calipers as evidenced by the factory casting numbers. W&N says they are "new EC production". They are held together by nuts and bolts like the original instead of bolts and tapped holes like the later calipers on the '02 and 6 cylinder cars. They might just be a repro by Cardone since they have been putting out other calipers for the vintage BMWs for a while. Here's a Cardone repro of the 2002tii caliper.
