Brake pipes - help please

After a lot of work, rear axle off, new shocks, paint job underneath etc I was just two small steps away from being back on the road, fit new front flex hoses and bleed it, sounds easy. The rear hoses took 5 mins!
I could not get the metal pipe to old flex hoses off, in the process I wrecked many of the metal pipes, I guess I am not the first to do this. So now I need to replace some of the metal pipes. From the hoses to the calipers and also some that go back to the servos, on a RHD there are pipes everywhere.
Are there any issues with joining what are already replaced copper brake pipes, or should I replace each entire section?
What tool to buy, the best reasonable price one appears to be a draper SAE expert, but are these DIN (metric) fittings? I guess that they are DIN so assume that this will not do the job, but don't know why of they are both 3/16 and the fitting is the correct thread?

Brake pipes

I have some automec copper pipes left over from a rebuild. Ther is almost a complete set for a UK E9.. PM. From the same rebuild I have a set of BMW fuel pipes front to back . Pre bent!

Simon, The pre-bent pipes, are they from BMW? It was my understanding that current pipes from BMW are not pre-bent. Are these NOS or who is the supplier for pre-bent pipes? Thanks.

Try Classic tube and inline tube. They may have the patterns for your car in stainless or original material. They also custom bend so you can always se4nd your oldones to be copied.

I made all new lines for my car using tubing from auto zone. Looks great. The only thing I bought factory was the main line running the length of my car. I could have just as easily made my own if i had a long length, but I didn't look all that hard.. All that is needed is a double flaring tool and new fittings and of course a few lengths of different diameter pipe to bend around.
 
I bought brake lines that were made to the right length from Walloth & Nesch. I did have to bend them myself, but that was easy.
 
I've just replaced every brake pipe on my very early E24 .
There are two types of brake flares Din and Sae.

My E24 is DIN and I'd expect your E9 to be the same .
Some say that you can use the more common and cheaper SAE tool to make DIN type flares , they are wrong , I tried ....!
I use this tool and it has performed perfectly producing exact DIN flares .

One thing to remember is to get the correct matching DIN brake couplings for the pipe ends , they also have to have a edge matching face to achieve a perfect seal .

And one last thing , use Kunifer ( copper / nickel ) pipe instead of copper as it is much tougher and less prone to flattening if you are having to " finger bend " in areas where you cannot use a proper pipe bender .

Thanks, I deduced most of this and did buy the same tool. Now I just need to learn how to use it. I think it is a DIN single flare on the E9.
There is so much conflicting information out there on the web, and I am sure so much is in good faith as I expect if enough torque is used then they don't leak, just don't come apart again which is what mine suffered from.
