I am having trouble bleeding my rear brakes following the removal and reinstallation of my rear subframe. I had plugged the brake lines when I removed the subframe, but lost a bit of fluid in the process.

I have fluid from the master to the pressure regulating valve, but not fluid flow out from the valve, so it appears I have air in the valve. I cannot get flow from either caliper when I attempt to bleed, either using a pressure bleeder or having a friend depress the pedal.

I tried leaving the caliper adjustment screw open overnight, thinking gravity would enable fluid flow. No Joy.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Chris,

Did you replace the flex hoses in the rear, that is often the number one issue when it comes to bleeding the rears. Even hoses that look fine can be plugged. I don't think the regulator ever actually goes bad.

Thanks Chris -- was thinking about doing that anyway; will do so now.
