Brand new tail light........expensive??

$1K is fair IMO. Depending on when you need your tails there are deals out there. I found a NOS one in the original bag on CL for $200. I didn’t need it so I relayed it to a forum member - who indeed scooped it up immediately.

Well when I sold my Csi, that received two new tail lights during it's restauration, I thought of removing them and putting them on the Cs that I was going to keep. The Cs still has its original lights that indeed show a little pitting. In the end I decided to hang on to the pitted ones because they better reflected the cars 47 year of age. Never regretted doing this. Same with the interior carpets, Csi had a brand carpets but they just didn't have the soul of the, albeit stained, but original carpet set in the Cs.
