Hi Chris,

I guess I was thinking Wayne9 was E9Wayne but I'm not sure about that. Itsfred is a member here and bought that beautiful Granatrot out of Seattle that was on BaT a year or two ago.
 
Not that I have any issue with my usual screen name, but on BaT I'm (Jeff) SoCal_Vintage_BMW - just thought it was a good chance to do some branding in the vintage car community. To avoid any confusion, John, the other half of SoCal Vintage, up in the PNW, goes by johnbarlow on BaT. I usually keep what few comments I make limited to E9s, but there are exceptions :p As an aside, since I finally got a title for my CSi, I've added it to the registry, 2266099.

I got tired of not being able to register with a variation of my name, so....
lip277 was a userID for a system at work and is/was unique, so... Figured I'd just use that.
 
On BaT, I'm StevenE9. Not hugely active on there in terms of comments, but always lurking. Hoping to be increasingly a bidder in time..

I picked up my E9 and Z8 on BAT, but have been staying away so that I don’t end up buying another one.
 
Anyone know who Big8 is on BaT? I snoozed on a lovely M6 he was selling on BaT yesterday and missed the auction close. If the buyer doesn’t step up, I know a man who will ;) Apparently Big8 also has an E9, so I thought he might be a member here.

I'm one of the original BaT "contributors", first posting as "RDH" in 2007. My wife and I met Randy N. at the Monterrey Historics where we discussed the vintage car market trajectory; during the economic meltdown in 2008-9, things changed. Around that time, I tired of the usual drivel that was posted and created another pseudonym, attempting to capture and illustrate stories from the daily offerings. Some of them were good, some less so, but "gear-ku" became my nom-de-plume and stuck. Another BaT regular suggested the auction idea and it exploded (good on 'em!)... after Hearst bought it, "gear-ku" remained, but RDH was gone. Wish I had invested in their joint!

In all humility, it's worth reading some of my old posts, honest. One of these days I should publish the haikus as was suggested. https://bringatrailer.com/member/gear-ku/
