Has anyone ever seen one of these build sheets, they are very similar to what MB included in their cars. This is from the 72 Bav on BaT.

Several years ago you made those facsimile dealer window stickers and I have some for Sahara. I think this could be an excellent encore by somebody with photo shop expertise and the deepest amount of knowledge/German interpretation capability. Having this document should be a good start and fun to have with our Coupes.

Jon, Except we don’t know what the codes mean. For an MB they are readily available. Glad you enjoyed our drive.
Are these the ones the factory put under the back seats?
That is what BMW claims and I’ve never seen one except for an e12 but it was a small strip of paper, same as MB would do as it would be torn from the larger sheet. My 74 2002 did not have one.

Attached is the seat tag from my Euro 1980 635csi. I was able to get the codes from Andreas Harz at BMW Group Archive. Both attached. Perhaps the same can be done for the build sheet.

Thank you, that is what was in my 1979 528i which I sold two years ago. These were probably used in e12 and e24 and later cars but not earlier.
