Bumper Polish

My bumpers look good overall but have small scratches in them. What products, methods do you recommend to get them out and leave the chrome looking shiny and "new"

Very fine #0000 steel wool works well for getting out small scratches and then I've used either Mother's polish or Collinate Metal Wax, which is used in some marine settings and has a bit of a protective layer that it applies. Very gentle pressure with the steel wool but it works quite well.

When I first purchased my car, @HBChris recommended brass wool instead of steel wool. (forgot why) For heavier clean up, I use that. Mostly, I use Simichrome

Brass is just softer than steel, so it is the better choice for bumpers that aren't that far gone. Chrome isn't all that hard; steel wool will scratch it, while bronze won't

Steel wool particles will rust onto your paint, bronze will not. Ask the BluMax.

Good to know. I had actually written brass wool initially since that’s what I had ordered and used and then when I was looking up the name of the polish numerous places said “steel wool” so I changed it thinking I had it wrong. Should Have trusted the gut. Brass wool it is. It does work quite well
