CA: ***For Sale****1971 2800 Bavaria Engine
I presume this engine has 144k on it and i believe the rings are gone in 1 or more cylinders. It still runs. There are 2 Weber 32/36 Carburetors with water temp chokes. It also has the big 80 amp alternator. I would like 200 for everything pictured except for the clutch and flywheel and oil pan. That includes the alt, pullys, distributer and wires, ect. I am located in the bay area. Please PM or email me @ [email protected]

Wanting and needing everything would that include crating, in CA shipping and advice from you on rebuilding from you same..

mind you for several years, as these projects can easily take a lifetime to give up on.... with phone help of course at little or no extra cost..?

You keep the Webers as IMHO that's what caused the blowby due to bore wear...
Weber washing I call it.

Shame really.... or we can trade straight across similar here a non-runner 2800 with
ZF automatic...no clutch required and yet another matching set of 32/36 outdoor grilles!

Ricky, I hate to break it to you, but the buyers for these engines are few and far between. I ended up melting down my old engine for scrap money, (got ~90$ for it!) and I still have the stock Getrag 4 speed on a shelf, years after I posted it for sale.
 
At last count I have FIVE 3.0 engines rotting in my shops. PITA to get rid of and zero value to me or any customer of mine. My latest trick to get rid of them is to hide one in the trunk of any car I am having towed to the boneyard. You can also drop one through the windshield and that way get rid of two at a time.....

10/1 euro spec and M90 engines are 218 hp and only 400 bucks -why buy a 3.0 with bad head design? e32 with Motronic 1.3 is 250.00
