CA Legacy Plates ARE HERE!!!

I'm ordering black plates, my car is Monaco Blue so it's perfect! CAN'T WAIT!!!

From the DMV FAQ:
Q15: Will the DMV wait until January 1, 2015 to implement the program even if the minimum is reached before that date?
A: No. Once the required minimum is reached, implementation of the program will go into development.

A Black plate on a coupe or your e93? A coupe would have a Blue plate which I wish the DMV would add to the current YOM program, a much better solution. A black plate on a new car will just look wrong and it is going to be reflective as well so won't look correct. My 2 cents.
 
Something tells me they will not only have the newer reflective paint but also have the DMV URL on them too (as current plates do). I don't think these can be considered legacy plates or even reasonable reproductions.
 
And it will devalue original black plates if a particular letter/number configuration is reissued making the original worthless and not eligible for YOM approval.
