I have disassembled and cleaned my front caliper which had at least one sticking piston. I think the bores are "clean enough" and the pitting is not significant.
W&N has caliper rebuild kit, orings and bolts, $65.90 including tax. I didn't get into shipping to Hawaii.
I would like to clean the bores better but am leery of splitting the caliper, having read much of the pro and con on this list. To avoid VAT, international shipping and time delay (though I read W&N are very prompt), I would like to source the bits closer to home, particularly since I'm in the middle of the pond.
The rebuild kit is applicable to some E3, E9, E12, E23, E24, E28 so I think I can get it locally. I see some discussion as to re-using the caliper bolts.
The orings are my concern: which size and material is correct?
