My coupe has a 3.3L M30 motor in it. The head need some work so I am evaluating the cam that is in it. According to a receipt provided by the prior owner, the cam is a Schrick Mot.II with a .443 lift. The number on the cam is 11 31 1 705 776. There is no Schrick markings or label on the cam.

Can anyone provide anymore specific info about this cam?

simply...

pop the valve cover and mike or caliper the cam lobe to check lift. The Blue Books should tell you the stock lift... then compare.

It seems an original BMW camshaft to be. Take the Cover on the backside of the head away and look at the number, that is stamp on the cam.

1 = 260° only 2500 lift 6,8471mm (without clearence)

2 = 264° only early 2800 lift 7,4228mm (without clearence)

3 = 272° for late 2800 and all 3.0 lift 7,4228mm (without clearence)

That is also written blue book
