To save you a ton of reading, I will cut to the result. They liked a product called Corrosion Free 3000 that is available at Canadian Tire (Canadians buy their clothes at Crappy Tire BTW)

I get my cars sprayed yearly with a rust spray (usually Krown) and they certainly have never had body rust in the 30 years I have been doing it.

There are some references to US Military corrosion studies...despite the shutdown. Hope this does not contravene any US regs.

*you can skip through the French part as they don't care about Corrosion in Quebec....can't be defeated there.

The yearly coatings in the test can be applied to any old car. They are very popular in Canada. I have no doubt they have worked well for me. (So far have used Rust Check and Krown).

Super info!

I found it interesting that POR-15 was mentioned by brand, also the Navy corrosion checklist on P.21 should be added to the rust chart in tech info as it is a good reminder of all the places to look when buying an older vehicle.

Thanks very much for sharing!
