The orange 2002 Alpina isn't a touring, don't know how he could miss that. The touring is the "station wagon" body, pretty unusual, but that ain't one.

Sorry Charlie, the inka orange 2002 definitely is the touring model. That car was bought by a German dealer.

The M1 was offered by RM auction in Monterey this past August.
It did not sell.

Body kit

That body is a shame. Spoils the original lines of the car, IMO.

Would you try to put it back to original, or keep it as is?

One with this type of body kit was for sale by a dealer in Las Vegas at one point. Wonder if this is the same car, and if Mr Walker bought it from that dealer. Price was low to mid 100s back then.
