Does anyone know of a company that makes all of the wood from but in carbon fiber? I think it would look really cool as a retromod version I'm working on. Especially if molds are already done. Thank you

Doubt the existance of molds; but I have seen it done. Real or faux, I donno. Probably pseudo CF, but not sure....That's what makes horse races...Whatever makes you happy.

If no one will be able to make them from stretch, I think any shop that make in carbon fiber will be able to cover perfectly your existing wood panels, puting carbon instead of veneer layer.

I recall TJ Noto (Corsachili) installed one in his CSL before eventually reverting the car to stock in most dimensions.
Maybe he has the old one available?

Thank you for the photo, yes that is exactly what I was thinking. That looks really, working on a re-creation similar to a Singer model.

I did a carbon fibre dash pod on the 2002 I restored a few years ago, the original fake wood just didn't work with what I was going for. Actually, it was a water transfer using the color of the car.

I like CF in many cars, but so sure on the e9 since there'd be so much of it.

Im considering a gloss Grey stain on walnut.

Rob,

I did something similar and went "off the grid" on my wood resto. My guy repaired and stained my wood a dark modern gray zebra. I like the modern look on a classic car. Even did lower dash long piece in the same finish when its supposed to be vinyl.

You can get sticky-back vinyl with "carbon fiber" look, and orient it any way you like. It would be a lot simpler and cheaper than the real thing, and who would know the difference?
