Carpet set template

Has anyone created a full-sized template for the carpet sets?

With so many small bits and pieces, it seems that creating a new carpet set yourself wouldn't be that difficult to do. And using a foam backed carpet might work as sound and heat insulation as well.

Of course, if I had all my original pieces, I could trace them out myself, but they're long gone (with the missing footwell foam pieces).

who makes the best replacement set of carpet for the e9? i know there are variables - original loop look or a more modern plush look.

i know that world upholstery has various carpet styles, GAHH also has kits, KH Mayer (Germany). does anybody have experience with any of these sets? what do the restorers use? or do they have their own made?

I have had fantastic experiencce with Bob at appbiz with Porsche carpet sets- if he does not do BMW he may be interested starting. He supplies for a number of other distributers including Pelican. Makes door and other interior panels as well...
