Yogi Berra was at a restaurant in Ft.lauderdale during Spring Training looking at his watch. A lady asked him, "what time is it?" He replied, "you mean right now?"
All I have is a couple of TAGS and a dress Ebel....and my great grandfather& grandfather's pocket watches.

This is how ignorant I am with timepieces: While I really like all of the watches in this thread, I just can't tell one from another, meaning I wouldn't know a very expensive watch from a fair knock-off. They all seem to tell time, and they all would scratch anything I'm working on including myself. Also, I don't have much interest in what time it is, but I try to equate the watches above with our cars and I would have to stare for a long time at a mans wrist to be able to appreciate the watch he's wearing and I would rather look at a woman's ankle. I know women can be "jewelry-centric", do women also have a "thing" for watches or is it mostly a man's domain?

No idea on the domain stuff.... I’ve wore (worn?) this watch once.
Oh and ankles are fine I guess.

Don't think it has legs in the high end horological world but we aren't talking about that, are we?

Probably four big tote boxes full of old Roundel magazines (many early ones in the small, white binders), some small Alpina and Heidegger things, shift knob, key chains, many odds and ends. He was from the Virginia area, apparently a BMWCCA Chapter president, or leader. I came by them through a random post on 2002FAQ a couple of years ago.

Lorenzo started a thread many years ago talking about memorabilia..now 13 pages long! I posted at the bottom of page 10.

Lorenzo also shows one of these M1 watches...just a small item in what must be a warehouse of memorabilia.

...now back to our regularly scheduled program of Cars and Watches :)
Hello, I came across this older conversation and I don't know if I'm asking correctly, do you have any things about Heidegger? Thank you for answer, Dmitry

Yes, I saw an older comment with a picture, I was wondering what exactly would be available from Heidegger. I have stickers and the like, I'm interested in things like a logo on the steering wheel or gearbox, a plastic logo on the grille and the like

A1950's Omega that was my fathers, My Breitling Chronomat. And the one in the middle is a Revue Thomman about 1/3rd the cost of a Rolex. My Rolex trained watchmaker said it is of high quality and put his seal of approval on it.
