Hoping to tap into the knowledge and experience of the Forum to assist me in eliminating the next to-do item from my list. My coupe's interior overall and the console in particular is generally very nice but I have an annoying weak spot on the right side of the center console. Looking for any suggestions or ideas on how to bring this back to a more presentable condition. Thanks in advance.

Howard

i would have a good upholstery shop recover with vinyl - has to be a relatively thin vinyl though. they can do an actual sewed top.

Thank you. Lots in the thread but pretty amazing work. Interesting to see the stages and the final product come together.

@deQuincey rebuilt the whole thing. A real work of art. Here's his thread documenting the process:

yep, doable,

it is a thread with the whole story, some parts are mixed, you have to follow all, and you can comment in the thread...

@Howard here is my one now fitted up. The extra thickness of the leather didn't seem to make much of a difference fitting up into the lower dash

Is your grab rail on the dash shelf veneer? Who did the woodwork? Very nice! Too bad the left-hand drive cars didn't use it.
