this looks like a very nice buy. if i didn't already have a great spare, i would be buying this as you don't often find one at this price and in this condition. Wiscosh, if somebody doesn't buy it at this price today (before midnight ET, i agree to buy it at that price plus shipping)

Here are some pictures

Hi Wiscosh, I have recently located my origional CSL 5 black bar grill from the prior owner. It is dented on the side hence replaced with a new 4 bar one bought from BMW. So actually I don't need to buy one now since I found the origional kidney matching my actual car (Probably not useable as impossible to get the dents out, but at least I know I have my original CSL part).

Feel free to sell yours to Scott Perkins :)

You could swap the slats from your dented CSL kidney over to the one for sale...

that's what i would do ... great idea Mark. take the silver frame and put the black slats in it. then you have the CSL grille. i don't need another grill but it is a part of vanishing numbers for sale

I would love to buy this 5 bar as mine was replaced with the 4 bar by the prior owner (horrible fit). If no one else in line needs it! Many thanks, Eric

Do you still want it? I was holding it for Mal CSL but it looks like he found another one. This one is in near perfect or perfect condition. I can't find a ding or dent in it anywhere. The only apology is that there is a missing cap nut on the back (but the stud is there and in good shape). I won't be able to ship until the week of 4/17 as I am going out of town for 8 days starting this Thursday. No need to pay for it until then. Don

Yes I would like the grill! Please PM me and I can send funds. Scott, I was asking your advice this fall when I was about to purchase and sent you pics.

Wiscosh, please sell to climbernyc ... he is in need. i have a spare already, i was going to buy and hold onto it until somebody needed one.

I was intrigued by this so I went and looked back at the earlier photos in my resto album
I have the 5 bar aluminum not sure I understand what that means.
The car looks nothing like this now I've got it down to a bare shell in prep for a dip and strip later this summer.

it should mean that you have a '70 to '73 coupe ... not a '74
great I know that it's a 72 but I haven't been able to find detailed info on it in the e9 registry
I just know that it's a euro market car that somehow made its way stateside

have you sent an email to Andreas at BMW Archive? do a search for Andreas, send him an email and he will send you the info based on your VIN
