hello,

I have finished a long project to install some additional gauges in my car to cross-check some key parametres of the engine, and the results are here, can you please tell me if the values are correct:

volts at contact: 12v
volts engine on: 14v
water temp: 85ºC (200ºF aprox)
oil temp 80ºC
oil press at iddle = 2,2 bar
oil press at 3000rpm`s = 3,5 bar

see pics:

Engine variables

Looks right.

Voltage at rest- 12.7. Should be the same as the battery. Anything below 12.5 - check your battery. So the guage could be off just a little?

well if i look carefully to that pic, probably i was not very accurate in my description, its more like 12,5 volts, the view angle of the pic is not helping

regards and thanks

Hey deQuincy,

Not sure if you've covered this elsewhere, but can you post some details on how / where you mounted the oil temp sender and what part this was (and where you got it).

After posting my previous reply to your gauge cluster build thread I've just remembered that my oil temp gauge reads looooow - Think it's because I have the sender screwed into the bottom of the sump through the plug.

Thanks.
