Cigarette Lighter / Power Source

Power wire is a large red one, always on even with ignition off. I installed a USB in glove box wired to a switched fuse.

thanks but getting power to the lighter is not the issue.

I’m wondering about the design of the socket itself. If the little rivet? at the bottom (red circle) should have power

you are write, i misread the wiring diagram - its red / yellow, i corrected my earlier post ... followed the wrong wire after it turned downward.

I really like these showing the on-board voltage, always being in a position supervising alternator and voltage regulator functionality.
