Has anyone seen or know of a way to change my clock into a oil gauge/voltmeter. I rarely care what time it is!
Using existing housing preferably.
My clock works and will send off to have made into quartz movement if can't figure out the gauge change.
Their was mention of a clock repair place in Hollywood that did the change over, but I can't find the info.
Any help?????

Paul Cain did a similar conversion on his 3.8 CSi @ Hollywood Speedometer. http://www.38csi.com/

I'd love to have another combo gauge, perhaps with oil pressure, oil temp, voltage, and transmission temp in place of the clock. I wonder how much it would go for...

I just think it is a more elegant solution that the triple gauge pack in the Alpina versions.

I have a dbl gauge that is in the speaker hole.
Angled back towards the driver, painted Wrinkle black.
Excellent product made by another member of our forum.
I am refinishing my dash and want to keep the dash flat without the speaker hole. Thus the redesign.
Thanks Bert. I will call them. I think that is the place I was thinking about in Hollywood, glad to see that they do the change also.

Here are some pic's of my dash refinish and new gauge install.

I know some out there will say that to change from original is not a good thing. But this BMW was not the caliber of car to be concerned about. Floor pans replaced X4 + now needs rockers replacement.
Wood and interior were in fair/poor condition before custom work and color changes.
Back together and everything works, whew. A lot of work, but I like it.
Hope you like the changes!
